Abstract
Theoretically calculated values of the radiation resistance of corner-driven and Alford square-loop aerials immersed in a warm plasma are compared with measured values of the resistance of a square-loop aerial on the Ariel 3 satellite. It is concluded that the Alford aerial is more efficient in a plasma environment.Keywords
