Abstract
In this paper the dead-beat control of linear periodic discrete-time systems subject to periodic disturbances is studied. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a linear periodic controller such that both output dead-beat control under periodic disturbances, and state dead-beat control under no disturbance, are performed. Moreover synthesis procedures of the controller, as well as of state dead-beat observers, are given, which can be applied also to a class of bilinear systems. Keywords
