Cutaneous Vascular Response to Prostaglandin E-1 In Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract
The cutaneous vascular response to intracutaneously administered prostaglandin E-l was decreased in 22 rheumatoid arthritis patients, as compared with 21 patients with non-rheumatoid diseases. Sex, rheumatoid factor, radiological rheumatoid findings, and duration of rheumatoid history had no statistically significant effect on the results; the rheumatoid arthritis patients with a high erythrocyte sedimentation rate had shorter reactions to the intracutaneous injection of PGE-I than the patients with a low ESR.
