Abstract
The infrared spectra of Co(CO)3N14O and Co(CO)3N15O vapor are reported from 10 000 to 280 cm−1 and all fundamentals assigned. The two C–O stretches and the N–O stretch are at 2108, 2047, and 1822 cm−1, respectively. Exchange with C13O indicates that a strong band at 2010 cm−1 is due to the C13–O stretch of the isotopic species Co(CO)2(C13O)NO. A normal coordinate treatment has been carried out, and the force constants determined. Keywords
