Abstract
In the last few years a spate of publications has appeared regarding extended and high-definition colour television systems expressing the need for more lines and fields/second and for a reduction in flicker, crossluminance and cross-colour effects. Digital and analogue recording of the three component signals Y, R-Y and B-Y, and the transmission of the analogue component signals by time-division multiplex have all received consideration.Keywords
