Special Education Programs for the Handicapped Adolescent

Abstract

Special education for handicapped adolescents is discussed within the framework of four developmental-educational goals. Learning competence, social participation, community participation, and career preparation are areas in which handicapped adolescents need to receive instruction. School programs and interventions directed toward these goals are described.
