Abstract
The temp. of incubation has a marked effect on the production of tetanus toxin. The optimum is 35 C, toxin titers falling off sharply when incubation is above or below this figure. By incubating in a Warburg type water bath at 35.1 C, the average toxin titers rose from the 50 to 60 Lf/ml. obtained in ordinary incubators, to 90 to 100 Lf/-ml.Keywords
