Abstract
A sex pheromone component from female Rhyacionia subtropica Miller has been identified as ( E )-9-dodecenyl acetate. Traps containing one mg of compound on rubber septa captured more male R. subtropica than did live female traps. The corresponding alchohol was identified in gland extract, but its presence in pheromone traps resulted in a decrease in trap catch. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
