Abstract
It is found by a delayed-coincidence measurement that part of the 1.04-Mev gamma radiation following the beta decay of is delayed with a mean life of sec. This lifetime is assigned to the level in at 1.2 Mev which feeds the level by a 0.174-Mev transition. The observed mean life is about sixty times shorter than the Weisskopf single-particle estimate for the quadrupole transition.
