Abstract
We extend the stick-slip model of a one-dimensional fault to include the deformation effects of the two-dimensional earth’s crust, which is assumed to be driven by a viscous fluid flow under the crust. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the model shows the Gutenberg-Richter law and the Omori law simultaneously. Keywords
