Abstract

Fong, Jack S. C., and Renaud, Louise: A hemolytic plate method for alternative pathway complement activity assay. Am J Clin Pathol 69: 156–160, 1978. A new hemolytic plate method for the functional assessment of alternativepathway complement activity is described. The plates are easy to prepare and the method simple to perform. Analysis of 23 normal serum samples showed a mean lysis diameter of 4.1 ± 0.2 mm (1 standard deviation).
