Abstract
The agent of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus, an acute respiratory disease of cattle, has been studied by ultracentrifugation and electron microscopical methods. Particles of 145-156 m[mu] diameter were associated with infectivity, while electron microscopy of infectious fluids revealed 136 [mu] 10 m[mu] diameter particles. Infected cells in tissue culture showed intracellular particles of the same size. Keywords
