Abstract
Parent and child temperament variables were examined in an interactive "goodness of fit" model with respect to foster placement outcome. The "mismatch" of a rigid foster mother and a child of negative mood was found to be predictive of less successful placement outcome, as was the placement of a child of more negative mood than expected by the foster mother. Keywords
