Metallaustausch an Clustern unter Redox-Bedingungen / Metal Exchange in Clusters under Redox Conditions

Abstract
The paramagnetic clusters ECo3(CO)9 with E = S, Se, P-t-Bu. PPh, PNEt2, POBu, PSEt, some of which were fully characterized for the first time, were reacted with Na2Fe(CO)4. The resulting metal exchange which is a redox reaction with formation of NaCo(CO)4 produced the clusters EFeCo2(CO)9. Further treatment with Na2Fe(CO)4 and acidification produced the clusters EFe2Co(CO)9H, the anions of which could be isolated as PPN salts. Electron transfer catalysis with benzophenone ketyl allowed the conversion of EFeCo2(CO)9 (E = S, Se, PNEt2) with NaMCp(CO)3 (M = Mo, W) into the chiral clusters EFeCoM(CO)8Cp
