Abstract
Switching transients of current and charge in form I PVDF have been measured in the time region faster than 1 ms under high electric field (140–200 MV/m) and in the temperature range from -20 to 20°C. A careful consideration in composing a switching circuit has been paid to reduce its time constant. The activation energy and field for the switching transient have been determined to be 0.63 eV (E=200 MV/m, T=-20–20°C) and 1.3 GV/m (T=20°C, E=140–200 MV/m), respectively. Keywords
