Abstract
The local atomic environment of Co atoms in a CoO crystal was imaged by hard x-ray holography. The complete three dimensional picture of the first two cobalt neighbor shells with nearly isotropic resolution was obtained, using a combination of normal and inverse, synchrotron and laboratory experiments. No a priori knowledge of the structure was used. Keywords
