Abstract
We propose a droplet picture for the quark-confinement phase transition. Our model for the transition reduces to a statistical mechanics of strings in the cylindrical coordinates (). The strings are similar to phase boundaries in an Ising model. Confinement and a linear quark-quark potential occurs in the disordered phase. Our results are extrapolations from cylindrically symmetric configurations.
