Analyses for Total, Ionic., and Elemental Mercury in Urine as a Basis for a Biologic Standard

Abstract
An analytical procedure for the determination of elemental, stannous-chloride-reducible, and total mercury in urine has been developed. The procedure utilizes the detection of mercury by cold, flameless atomic absorption. The results of this procedure appear to provide more meaningful data for medical surveillance in control of exposure to mercury than does the determination of total mercury.
