Abstract
We have measured the transitions of superconducting thin tin films in a transverse magnetic field. Experimental results are in good agreement with those of Rhoderick. One can distinguish between two kinds of film : 1) Films of thickness e < 2 000 Å have a critical field which is a decreasing function of e. This field corresponds probably to the one calculated by Tinkham. 2) Thicker films have a critical field increasing with e. We explain this by assuming that superconducting regions have a domain structure somewhat similar to that of bulk materialKeywords
