Abstract
C2–C4 paraffins were produced from synthesis gas with selectivities higher than 80% at 300 °C and 21 atm by utilizing hybrid catalysts composed of a methanol-synthesis catalyst and a Y-type zeolite. The diffusion of lower olefins within zeolite pores and their hydrogenation on a methanol-synthesis catalyst were found to be important factors in controlling selectivity. Keywords
