Abstract
Plutonium-239, 240 in human tissues collected in the Tokyo area was determined to obtain information on the current level and the distribution pattern of plutonium in tissues of Japanese subjects. The order of the average plutonium concentration was found to be as follows: liver (0.66 fCi/gram fresh weight) > bone (0.24 fCi/g f.w.) > lung (0.13 fCi/g f.w.) > others. Individual organ burdens and total body burden for the ICRP Reference Man are estimated and discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
