Abstract
Measurement of Ascorbic Acid (AA) and Corticosterone (Compound B) in serial fractions of adrenal vein blood from hypophysectomized rats has demonstrated, immediately after small doses of ACTH, an initial rise in AA, followed by a steady rise in B. As Compound B is rising, AA rapidly falls below pre-ACTH levels. AA release has not occurred in the absence of Compound B release.Keywords
