Abstract
We show that the expansion in powers of the contraction parameter of anti-de Sitter space of the scalar and spinor propagators reproduces the standard adiabatic expansion, including O(a4) terms. This proves that the choice of boundary conditions in solving the propagator equations does not affect the renormalization of the purely geometrical tensors in the effective action, nor the trace anomaly induced by OSp(N, 4) invariant matter multiplets in the background space. Keywords
