Adrenal Giant Cyst

Abstract
Giant cysts may arise from degeneration and osmotic swelling of a hemangioma of adrenal medulla. As their inner lining is fibrinous and not specific they are very likely to be misidentified, unless a characteristic stripe of stretched adrenal cortex is noticed in their thin wall. Clinically they remain in touch with diaphragm, and cause marked displacement of adjacent viscera. From these they can be palpated separately on deep inspiration, and show lateral mobilities. Surgically separation is easy except over the vertebrae where their capsule fuses with fascia. Hormonal disturbances and recurrence are not known to occur.
