Abstract

Two-spotted spider mites (Tetranychus telarius) produced more progeny on lima bean plants supplied high levels of nitrogen than on plants supplied low levels of nitrogen. Mites also produced more progeny on young leaf tissue than on old leaf tissue irrespective of nitrogen supply.
