Abstract
Change of the fine structure of high nitrogen austenite steels deformed under high hydrostatic pressure was studied by transmission electron microscopy. The increase of pressure and deformation degree results in higher twinning intensity and consequently in substantial hardening of the studied steels. The strain hardening curves were analyzed and the regions were determined where high nitrogen steels could be deformed without macroscopic destruction depending on the deformation degree under preliminary hydroextrusion. Keywords
