Abstract
β-Galactosidase, α-galactosidase, β-glucosidase and β-xylosidase were studied in relation to auxin-induced elongation of etiolated pea stems. Frozen-thawed sections were incubated in substrate solutions and individual enzyme activity was determined. Results were as follows:
