Abstract
The localization of neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in the diffuse neuroendocrine system (DNES) of human fetal lung is reported. Serial section techniques indicate that NSE immunoreactive cells can also contain bombesin and/or 5-hydroxytryptamine-like immunoreactivity. NSE immunocytochemistry provides a simple and reliable marker for the DNES in human lung. This publication has 24 references indexed in Scilit:
