CHANGES IN THE ELECTROPHORETIC PATTERN IN LYMPH AND SERUM IN EXPERIMENTAL BURNS

Abstract
Electrophoretic patterns of normal lymph and serum were obtained and compared with those of lymph and serum after the animal was subjected to burns. Normal lymph had the same 4 components as are present in serum:albumin, [alpha]-, [beta]-, and [gamma]-globulin. The pattern obtained from lymph derived from the burned tissue revealed the occurrence of an additional boundary, migrating with half the speed of the [gamma]-globulin. The changes found in serum indicated a slight decrease of the albumin:globulin ratio with an increase in the a-globulin fraction.This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
