Abstract
A followup study was made of patients submitted to resection for coarctation of the aorta more than six years previously, and aged 12 or younger at the time of the operation. The object was to establish whether results remained good after completion of the growth period. The results proved to be satisfactory. Only in 2 patients of 36 seen for followup was the systolic blood pressure in the leg lower than that in the arm. Both these patients also had a prolonged rising time of the femoral artery curve. Keywords
