Abstract
In a simplified thiochrome method the photo-electric measurement of the fluorescence of thiochrome was made more specific by the use of a blue filter. The daily output and response to a dose of 1 mg. aneurin were measured for 6 normal subjects (50-170 [mu]g. per day) and 9 neurological cases (10-90 [mu]g. per day); the excretion increased up to 500 [mu]g. per day in some cases. The excretion in 3 hrs. after a test-dose is suggested as the best index of nutritional level, the normal range being 26-110 [mu]g. and the saturation level about 200 [mu]g.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
