Abstract
Eight euthyroid [human] subjects were administered 500 .mu.g of thyrotropin-releasing hormone [TRH] i.v. before and after the administration of 10 mg KI daily for 7 days. Basal serum concentrations of TSH [thyrotropin] and the response of TSH to TRH were significantly increased following I- treatment, while serum levels of T4 and T3 [thyroxine and triiodothyronine, respectively] did not differ significantly. The administration of 10 mg/day of KI can probably produce similar changes in serum TSH to those in previous reports using large doses of I-.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
