Abstract
The following genera of Stemonitaceae are recognized: Schenella (?), Amaurochaete, Brefeldia, Diacheopsis, Diachea, Elaeomyxa, Macbrideola, Enerthenema, Clastoderma, Barbeyella, Lamproderma, Stemonitis, and Comatricha. The type genus is Stemonitis Gleditsch emend. Rost. The relationship of the recognized genera are discussed and a key to them is provided. The suggested relationship indicates Comatricha as the center diverging on the one hand to Stemonitis and thence to Schenella (?), Brefeldia and Amaurochaete, and to Lamproderma on the other, which exhibits varying relationship to the remaining genera. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
