Recruitment: An Investigation into Recruitment Problems in Occupational Therapy

Abstract
The topic of recruitment was explored by the authors during a course on ‘Role development for head occupational therapists’ in October 1988. A survey was carried out to identify aspects that occupational therapists look for in their search for a new post and aspects that help occupational therapists to remain in their present posts. As the problem of recruitment of occupational therapists is felt nationally, this article shares the findings from the survey and suggests various recruitment methods which may help to address the problem.
