Abstract
The solubility of bovine fibrinogen in ethanol-water mixtures was studied as a function of pH (5.0-6.9) and ethanol concn. (0-8%). The results were qualitatively similar to those for human fibrinogen but the influence of pH was much smaller. The solubility behavior is in accord with differences which have been observed in the effect of pH on the properties of fibrin clots formed from bovine and human fibrinogen. Keywords
