Abstract
Therapy with topically administered 5-fluorouracil under occlusion proved remarkably successful in resolving a large protuberant 8 x 10-cm lesion of Bowen''s disease on the thigh of an 83-year-old man. Within 12 days, the lesion had sloughed and by 1 month the epidermis had returned to normal. Further trials with this agent under occlusion are warranted for the treatment of superficial malignancies.
