Abstract
The optical surface quality of pharmaceutical tablets was inspected using a computer-generated hologram based sensor. The image information was related to the optical surface quality of pharmaceutical compacts compressed using different tableting powders as matrix materials for drugs. The role of the compression and thermomechanical properties caused by sensing laser beam on the surface quality are discussed. Keywords
