Abstract
Thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) spectra of polychlorotrifluoroethylene with relatively low crystallinity were measured in the range of 85 to 400 K. Three TSDC peaks were observed at 362.5 K, 275 K, and 197.5 K, corresponding to β, γa and γc relaxation processes, respectively. Each relaxation process was analyzed from elementary TSDC spectra obtained by the thermal sampling technique. In these relaxation processes, it was found that the distribution of relaxation times was interpreted as a distribution in activation energies and the temperature dependence of relaxation times was ruled by the compensation law. Keywords
