Abstract
Preparations of Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis were toxic to 2 species of simuliid larvae in streams in the Dunedin area. The rate of recolonisation of treated streams depended on the rate of larval drift and egg hatching. No significant changes to post-treatment population levels of nontarget aquatic insects were observed. Keywords
