SOMATOMEDIN ACTIVITY AND INORGANIC SULFATE IN CHILDREN UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS

Abstract
Bioassayable serum somatomedin activity could be estimated in uremic subjects only after appropriate correction for increased circulating inorganic sulfate. Somatomedin activity increased after hemodialysis in six of ten patients, possibly due to removalof somatomedin inhibitors.
