Abstract
In a normally heterothallic strain of D. iridis, an occasional self-fertile clone develops. Analysis of F1 spores from one such clone suggests that self-fertility is brought about by mutation of the incompatibility allele in at least 1 cell of a clonal, myx-amoebal population. Keywords
