PROTECTION OF SNAPBEANS FROM SUBSTITUTED UREA INJURY BY PRIOR TREATMENT WITH DINITROANILINE HERBICIDES

Abstract
Under weed-free conditions, snapbeans (Vhaseolus vulgaris L. ’Bush Blue Lake’) grown in soil treated with trifluralin, fluchloralin, or profluralin as pre-plant-incorporated treatments were protected from injury resulting from preemergence treatments of metobromuron, and, to some extent, linuron. Dinitramine, however, did not offer such protection against metobromuron or linuron injury.
