Abstract
This enquiry into the bacteriology of human milk was prompted by our recent investigation of a case of entero-colitis in a breast-fed infant. In this case an abundant growth of a streptococcus was obtained from the faeces of the infant which was identical as far as we could determine with a streptococcus isolated from the mother's milk. Keywords
