Abstract
A real-time Lee-type computer-generated hologram (CGH) using a TFT-LCSLM is presented. The LCSLM is very well suited for recording a CGH because of its high resolution, low cross talk and high contrast ratio. We examine both amplitude and phase characteristics of the LCSLM. We consider the effects of contrast ratio and phase shift in twisted nematic (TN) mode operation, and clarify the optimum configuration between the LCSLM and two polarizers to obtain a high-quality image. Keywords
