Abstract
We obtain closed form approximations for the spin dependent eikonal -nucleus scattering amplitudes. The polarization and spin rotation function can be written in terms of the unpolarized elastic scattering cross section and two complex parameters related to the nucleon-nucleon spin orbit strength and range. These forms agree well with the available data and illuminate the dynamical content of and .
