Abstract
A case of acute idiopathic porphyria is presented and the evaluation of certain therapeutic agents is attempted with a quantitative following of the uroporphyrin and coproporphyrin detns. made serially on this patient. Most all of the previously tried therapeutic agents were found to be of no avail in this patient, and her remission was found to coincide with the intraven. admn. of procaine hydrochloride. It was felt by the authors that this product was deserving of further trial. Keywords
