Abstract
90 children (15 2-yr.-old girls, 15 2-yr.-old boys, 30 2½-yr.-old girls, and 30 2½-yr.-old boys) were administered an articulation test. Percentages were computed for each of the 35 consonant sound items at each age level to determine which sounds the 2- and 2½-yr.-old children were able to produce correctly. Articulatory performance was significantly influenced by age and sex, but not by socio-economic level. Keywords
