Croissance de la barbue (Ictalurus punctatus) du fleuve Saint-Laurent près de Québec

Abstract
Thin sections were made on the spiny rays of pectoral and dorsal fins of 28 channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) from the St. Lawrence River near Quebec City. Age determinations on these sections and the results of previous taggings gave the following length and weight growth patterns for these individuals: 200 mm and 65 g at age 3, 270 mm and 165 g at age 5, 330 mm and 310 g at age 7, 400 mm and 572 g at age 10, 530 mm and 1236 g at age 20.
