Abstract
Study of injn.-corrosion prepns. of ovarian spiral arteries shows them to be dependent upon the action of estrogen. In immature ovaries, they are undeveloped, and after the menopause they undergo atrophy. These changes are independent of vascular degenerative disease and sclerosis. Estrogens have, therefore, a predilection for the spiral vessels, not only of the uterus but of the ovaries as well. Keywords
