Abstract
The use of computed tomographic (CT) body scanning in search of an unknown primary site in metastatic malignant neoplasms in 98 patients is reviewed. A clinically occult tumor was identified in 31 cases. This detection rate is 3-4 times that of conventional radiographic studies. CT scanning is apparently a valuable addition to the workup in selected cases of metastatic cancer of unknown origin. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
